At Davis Engineering, our mission is to provide cost-effective, energy-efficient mechanical systems solutions for buildings – solutions that meet our clients’ needs in a manner that exceeds their expectations.

 Our Team

Our knowledgeable, experienced team has the skills and resources to design mechanical systems for buildings that work. Our first priority is to understand the needs and expectations of our clients. This is critical for the successful completion of any project.

By communicating with and involving our clients throughout the design process, we find solutions that provide the greatest value within a project budget. We work with our clients to establish a reasonable scope of work that fits within the project budget, taking into account factors such as first cost, operating costs and maintenance costs.

We then translate the scope of work into a well-detailed set of construction drawings with a comprehensive set of specifications. We strive to produce unambiguous design packages that result in competitive contractor pricing and few change orders during construction.

Our team provides thorough and timely construction phase reviews to help ensure that projects are constructed as intended, and that they meet all local building codes and ordinances. We also provide follow-up during and after the warranty period to see that the mechanical systems operate as intended. Jim Davis, Principal

Firm principal Jim Davis, P. Eng., has 20 years of HVAC design experience in the commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial sectors. Jim has extensive experience with hydronic heating systems, air-handling systems, and central building management and controls systems, as well as with the selection and specification of plumbing fixtures to meet barrier-free design requirements.
